Summary

In total, I had 8 responses, mostly from the age range of 18-24 and 45+.
Unfortunately, no males or other genders have answered this survey which makes it only about the experience of females. Next time I'll try to make the survey more gender neutral so that the opposite sex can have some interest in order to partake. I was hoping for inclusivity with my work.
Overall, the responses have one thing in common - comfort. People have naturally chose to be in comfortable clothing and going make-up free , with this in mind, they are accepting themselves for who they are. However, dressing  up is being missed and some choose to dress up to lift their spirits, in a way it's more so to do with the feeling of dressing up.

People's perception of beauty changed in many different ways, but the most frequent idea is that beauty is skin deep. It mostly matters who you are as a person, rather than outward appearance. Some believe health is beauty and others think that beauty isn't about dressing up to look a certain way, in fact they prefer to be just as they are.
In terms of the participants outlook on life, many have said that they won't take things for granted ever again and will appreciate bonding time with friends and family.

Looking into the Lifestyle section, people are definitely valuing comfort over aesthetic appearances as the masks are already uncomfortable. One chose to have unregular masks with sparkles. I feel choosing stylish masks gives people the fun element to a sad situation, however, stylish masks encourage more people to be safe and happy.

To my surprise, 62.5% are trying to be more ecological with their spending habits and are trying to avoid fast-fashion. 25% enjoyed doing online shopping as that can cause temporary happiness during isolation, I know this as I'm a 'culprit' in this too!
Moving on into routines, most say that they have started to do more exercise and engage with different hobbies. "Before lockdown last year I did home workouts and now I've kind of just given up on that aswell."- Anon.

Finally, with the discussion of Coronavirus, 4 people have agreed that if we took better care of the world, it wouldn't retaliate with these deadly viruses. It's important to start thinking of a sustainable way to live and let the world heal. One person made an interesting point that "COVID has made most of us realise how unclean everything is."- Anon. It seems ridiculous that we as a society are only now carrying hand sanitizers and wearing masks when we are ill (or not), when most East Asian countries such as Japan, and South Korea had it as normal societal standard when it comes to respect and hygiene.

In conclusion, this survey gave me a great way of getting honest opinions by making it anonymous for t people who partook in it. It gave me alternative views to many questions and topics which will help in the long run with my art and how I choose to display it. I wanted to do the survey as I was inspired by the photographer Peter Devito, since he always gets his model's opinions or quotes that he puts alongside his work. I'm really satisfied with the outcome.
