Weekly Reflection 19/3/21

This week I have been really struggling. Due to some Covid-19 outbreaks in college, we had to have a week off after just coming back. This left me completely unprepared in terms of materials as it was so unexpected... I was also in close contact with a person who had Covid. So that's another 10 days off from completing good, quality work.

I'm feeling anxious. I don't have a printer, nor a scanner at home to play with composition or scale... I don't have the materials I wanted to create alternative pieces. But I had to get a grip somehow. It's been really difficult. On the bright side, I'm nearly done with my PechaKucha slides, and I have done a survey, a good quality drawing, and and two experimental drawings. I just really wish I had the facilities to let my creativity blossom.

If I can't come back next week, I'll have to start using what I can and perhaps complete more artist research for inspiration, because it's really hard to be motivated with 4 walls and a window during isolation!

My goal moving forward is to complete at least a two page study of drawings or observational drawings using primary and secondary images as reference. I also need to make a plan of what I will do once I come back, such as Composition work, experimenting with prints and textiles, this will keep my motivation and creativity up and hopefully produce great work in the long run.
