Artist Research - Ernesto Artillo

Ernesto Artillo Ernesto Artillo is a Spanish artist who is interested in gender, social media identity, the human body as a tool for advertisement, certainty, and other types of love. Photography, collage, film, costumes, scenography, installation, and performance are only a few of the many mediums in which he expresses himself, all in his own distinct style. He works for a variety of fashion brands, including Celine, Elie Saab, and Mango, to give their ad campaigns the artistic lift that only a true innovator can provide. In his own words, Ernesto described his method, saying, " For me, collage means detaching from my tendency of keeping everything in order. I’m constantly trying to become more abstract and less geometric. It allows me to literally cut/break with things – even though they are my own pictures – to create a new order.
